Integrated Cord Reel-Cradles | |||||||||||

On some seats where the cordreel is remotely installed the interface to the cradle in the seat arm is made via a conduit. In this situation the installation and removal time can be between 30 to 45 minutes per cordreel.Aerotech designed, developed and patented the Integrated Cordreel Cradle (ICRC). This is a turnkey solution making a more efficient use of space envelope in the seat arm and controls the interface between the cordreel and the cradle. The ICRC is externally mounted on the seat and is therefore easily replaceable. This is crucial as the IFE system’s “umbilical cord” being the cable is subject to constant passenger use (and abuse). A damaged ICRC can be swapped out in 5 minutes, significantly quicker than the remote cordreel. Aerotech produces ICRC to accommodate a variety of customer requirements, including different handsets, seat installations and corporate colours. Send request for Product Information
