Human interface testing simulates the use of in-flight entertainment equipment by passengers. A team of staff use the handset to simulate making telephone calls and playing games etc. The equipment is constantly monitored to detect any electrical or mechanical faults, data is then analysed as part of Aerotech's product improvement programme.

Automated testing performed using robotic arms and dedicated test fixtures. Two robotic arms are used in the same manner as the human interface testing to provide accelerated test results. Other equipment such as cable flexure tester and continuous stow and deploy machines at variable speeds are also used.
